Our laying hens are all heritage breeds living on pasture. We move their coop every week to a fresh field. Their food is a non-GMO from a local farmer who doesn't pour glyphosate onto the land, a high-grade ration which the hens supplement with lots of natural foraging and plenty of excess farm vegetables.
Recent studies have found that real free-range eggs have less cholesterol and saturated fat, plus more vitamins A and E, beta carotene and polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids.
